Committees
The BHBR has 6 regional committees which manage the various functions of the region under the auspices of the Board.
Each committee has at least one Board member as a liaison person attached to that committee.
The Committees are:
– Pennant: manages all things to do with pennant competitions
– Greens: oversees all greens inspections and suitability
– Representative: responsible for regional representative sides selection
– Umpires: manages officials training and umpire allocation for all events
– Juniors: coordinates all junior pathway programs including Golddiggers squad
– State Events: responsible for administering all state/regional events
Note: Committees will have a maximum of one person per club on each committee.

Since the establishment of the new regions in 2021, the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region have been trying to move towards the BHBR being one region and all decisions and programs are designed with this in mind.
Therefore, all state events are now regional events (from the start of the event) and will be played as such (not separated into playing areas).
All committees are regional committees. Therefore, all Expressions of Interest for committees are for the overall regional committees – not Playing Area committees.
As of 2022-23, all State events are organised by the State Events committee not the Pennant Committee.
