Men’s Over 60 Singles Winners
Greg Plier (Midlands Bowling Club) defeated Brian Johnson (Sebastopol Bowling Club) by 8 shots to win the 2024-2025 Men’s Over 60 Singles event in the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region (BHBR).
It was Greg’s second win in this event following his victory in the 2023-2024 season, and essentially back-to-back wins as the Over 60 Singles were not played during the 2023-2024 season.
The match was played on Wednesday, 28th October 2024 at Ballarat Memorial Sports (BMS) Bowling Club in Ballarat and final score was 21-13.
In the semi finals, Greg Plier defeated Terry Kelly (Kyneton) and Brian Johnson beat Brad Mahoney (Sebastopol).

Not Played – Due to Bowls Victoria implementing an Over 60’s carnival at CluBarham (2024) with regional over 60 events no longer a pathway event to the state championships.
The BHBR reintroduced Men’s and Women’s Over 60 singles and pairs events for the 2024-2025 season but there is no state pathway for any Over 60 event winner.

Greg Plier (Midlands Bowling Club) defeated Noel Verlinden (Victoria Bowling Club) by 15 shots to win the 2022/2023 Men’s Over 60 Singles event in the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region (BHBR).
The match was played on Thursday, 10th November 2022 at Sebastopol Bowling Club in Ballarat and final score was 21-6.
In the Semi Finals, Greg Plier defeated Shane Crimmins (Diggers Rest) and Noel Verlinden beat Ian Warner (Sebastopol).
2021-2022 Winner

Wayne Roberts (City Oval Bowling Club) defeated John Beaumont (Romsey Bowling Club) by 9 shots to capture the 2021/22 Men’s Over 60 Singles title in the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region (BHBR).
In the inaugural BHBR season both Ballarat and Highlands sections competed in their own sections.
Wayne took out the Ballarat section of the Men’s Over 60 Singles, while John won the Highlands section.
The match was played on Thursday, 27th January 2022 at Kyneton Bowling Club in Kyneton and final score was 21-12.
