Learmonth’s Addy Ryan is Deer Park bound
Learmonth Bowling Club’s Addy Ryan is Deer Park bound next season and set to play an integral part of the Deer Park Youth Bowls Academy.
The Deer Park Club are committed to putting a large emphasis on their newly organised Youth Bowls Academy and are looking forward to working with Addy on her bowls journey over the coming years.
“We are really excited to welcome in another outstanding junior bowler,” Head of Bowls Operations Mark Casey said.
“Addy has shown huge potential on the green and has expressed her desire to reach the top so we can’t wait to be able to help develop her skills further.”
“Having Addy as part of our Youth Academy is a big coup for the program and we are thrilled to have her and her family as part of our Deer Park Club.”
An excited Addy spoke with Mark about the news “I’m proud as punch to be part of the academy and club, really looking forward to continue putting in the work on my game and to be doing it alongside Harry, Ellie and future squad members.”
Addy joins Norfolk Island young International Ellie Dixon and one of Victoria’s other rising stars Harry Coleman in the Academy.
The opportunity to head to Deer Park Club came about when Addy was looking to take her game to the next level.
“I was looking for somewhere that would allow me to take my bowls further and advance my game, and Deer Park had announced their Youth academy which sounded like something I’d be interested in,” Addy said.
“I decided to have a meeting with Mark Casey, who is from Deer Park, and talk about how it will all work and if the club would be a good move for me.”
“Then I decided on doing what is best for me and my bowls, which from that I believe making this move will lead me to that.”
“My goals whilst taking up this opportunity are to improve my game, enjoy my bowls more and get to meet and learn off new people, and higher level players.”
“It should be a great experience to be able to be involved with Deer Park.”
