Ballarat Gold Diggers competing in Doug Kneebone Tournament at Club Sunbury tomorrow

The Ballarat Gold Diggers have one team competing in tomorrow’s Doug Kneebone event at Club Sunbury.

Representing the team are Addy Ryan (Learmonth Bowling Club), Micah Oswin (Victoria Bowling Club), Logan Mattei (North Ballarat Bowling Club) and Jack Baldwin (North Ballarat Bowling Club).

The team of four competes in various formats throughout the day including singles, triples and pairs against other junior squads from around the state.

The Ballarat Highlands Gold Diggers have been highly competitive in this event over recent years with the team of Dusty Taylor-Irwin, Oscar Jones, Addy Ryan and Micah Oswin finishing runners up last year.

EVENT: Bowls Victoria U18 Doug Kneebone Tournament

STARTING TIMES: 8.30am Registration. 8.45am Roll-Up for 9.00am Start.

VENUE: Club Sunbury, 49 Riddell Road, Sunbury, 3429

ENTRY CONDITIONS: The Doug Kneebone Tournament is for Junior Development Squad members only. Composite teams may be created to increase participation in the tournament. Players must be under 18 years of age on the day of play. Entries will be potentially capped based on rinks available.

STRUCTURE: Teams of 4

9:00am Round 1 – All Formats
10:10am Round 2 – All Formats
11:15am Round 3 – All Formats
12:30pm Lunch
1:00pm Round 4 – All Formats
2:10pm Round 5 – All Formats
3:20pm Round 6 – All Formats
4:30pm Presentations

FORMAT:
Singles: 4 Bowls, 11 ends or 60 minutes, whichever comes first).
Pairs: 3 Bowls, 8 ends or 60 minutes, whichever comes first).

All 4 members will be playing Pairs.

Triples: 2 Bowls, 8 ends or 60 minutes (whichever comes first).
Fours: 2 Bowls, 7 ends or 60 minutes (whichever comes first).
