BHBR bowlers feature on Diamond Jack Junior Singles Live Stream at Moama Bowling Club.
Learmonth’s Addy Ryan and Creswick’s Dusty Taylor-Irwin featured on the live stream at the recent Diamond Jack Junior Singles event at Moama.
Moama Bowling Club, in partnership with Club Sunbury, hosted the inaugural Diamond Jack Junior Singles lawn bowls tournament last weekend in Moama.
The new event attracted an impressive field of 57 bowlers (18 years and younger) from around Australia with competitors from South Australia, New South Wales, and Tasmania joining a strong Victorian line-up.
With a prize pool of $8500 and the individual boys and girls champions taking home $1000 plus the title, there was plenty at stake for the young bowlers.
Saturday, 12th August 2023 saw eight sections of girls and 11 sections of boys compete in a round-robin format to decide the finalists.
Each match was played over two sets of nine ends with a two-end tiebreak in place if required to determine each winner.
Addy competed in Section 3, and finished second in her section behind Akasha Fortune, while Dusty Taylor-Irwin won Section 8 to advance to the finals where she was knocked out by Maddison Jacobs.
