BHBR’s Victoria Bowling Club and Midlands Golf Bowls Club represent Region in 2023 Champion of State Pennant in Moama

Victoria (Saturday pennant) and Midlands Golf (Tuesday pennant) represented the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region in the 2023 Champion of State Pennant held from Saturday, 6th May to Tuesday 9th May 2023 at Moama Bowling Club.

Victoria Bowling Club contested Section 1 of Champion of State Pennant (Weekend) on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May 2023, with Midlands Golf Bowls Club competed in Section 1 of Champion of State Pennant (Midweek) on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th May 2023 in Moama.

2023 Champion of State Pennant (Saturday)

Victoria scored wins over Lakes Entrance (Gippsland) 44-42, Wodonga (Ovens & Murray) 44-31 and Warrnambool (West Coast) 53-30, and lost to Deer Park (Metro) 29-51 and Shepparton Golf (Goulburn Murray) 39-47.

Saturday (Weekend) Ladder

Ocean Grove (Geelong) defeated Deer Park (Metro) 43-39 to win the 2023 Champion Of State Pennant for Saturday (Weekend) Pennant.

2023 Champion of State Pennant (Tuesday)

Midlands Golf recorded wins over Chalambar Golf Bowls (Wimmera) 53-35 and Drouin (Strzelecki) 54-42 (W), and lost to Ocean Grove (Geelong) 29-43, Frankston (Mornington Peninsula) 35-44 and Clayton (Sandbelt) 32-56.
