Creswick’s Michael Booth and Travis Hedger win 2022-2023 BHBR Men’s Pairs event

Creswick’s Michael Booth and Travis Hedger captured the 2022-2023 BHBR Men’s Pairs title on Thursday, 26th January 2023 at Sebastopol Bowling Club.

They played Sebastopol’s Rob Baker and Scott Roberts in an entertaining, closely fought final in front a good crowd of onlookers.

The match was tight early with scores 3-3 after four ends and 4-4 after six ends before Michael and Travis skipped out to a 10-4 lead following 1 and 4 shots on the next two ends.

Down 6 shots after the 11th end, Rob and Scott snared 3 shots on the 12th end, then a single shot on the next, to be down 2 shots heading into the last two ends, with the score 11-9 in favour of their opponents.

Michael and Travis steadied the ship, scoring 2 and 1 on the final two ends to run out 14-9 winners in a high-quality match.
